This was the first time that Patricia decided to design an ultra-decorative, handmade collection (“it takes four hours for two craftsmen to put the interlacing on the structure.”). It is (apparently) in contrast with the other B&B Italia products, which are strongly recognized for being pure examples of industrial design.
A family of seating featuring a maxi-interlacing of polyethylene fiber ribbon in white or bronze. There are many typologies: circular and linear sofas, armchairs, chairs, chaise lounge and service elements that have exclusive fabric covers in the variations of plain color, mélange and multi-colored design. All these very comfortable seating have frames in aluminium with weather resistant polyester powder painting. They are available in the colors white or bronze, with interlacing in polyethylene fiber in the same color as the frames. The circular seat can also be fitted with a light fold able canopy that reduces the passage of sunlight by up to 92%. The seat can also have a swivel base that rotates 360°. The Canasta collection includes tables and service elements in different sizes. The tables frames are in aluminium and the service elements frames are in steel. Both frames are painted with weather resistant polyester powder). The tops are covered with exclusive tiles with decorative patterns.
