Powder Coated Aluminum

Aluminum is a chemical element with symbol Al and atomic number 13. In addition, it is a silvery-white, soft, nonmagnetic and ductile metal in the boron group. By mass, aluminum makes up about 8% of the earth’s crust. It is the third most abundant element after oxygen and silicon. Importantly, it is the most abundant metal in the crust, though it is less common in the mantle below.

Likewise, powder coating is widely considered to be the ideal method of decorating and protecting aluminum components, products, and parts. By electrostatically spraying and fusing this mixture of pigments and resins onto a surface, you can achieve a high-quality, extremely durable finish that will extend the life of your metal and ensure its continued aesthetic appeal.

Teak Grades

Teak is said to be a perfect material for outdoor furniture. This tropical hardwood that is native to the Far East is extremely strong and durable. However, most important of all, is that it is naturally resistant to outdoor elements. Which includes rain, UV light, rapid temperature changes, wood eating insects, etc. On the other hand, if left outdoors year round without any protection, teak garden furniture remains unaffected. This is in relation to its beauty and durability; depending on which teak grade it is made of.

Teak wood is available in three different quality grades. Which plays the key role in outdoor performance and durability of the furniture. Therefore, it is highly important to know what the difference is between teak grades and how to distinguish between them.

Grade A Teak

Grade A teak is the highest quality teak wood. Hence, it refers to timber taken from the center of the log (heartwood) of a fully mature tree. In addition, a golden brown color, close grains and glossy surface can easily recognize A-grade teak. Therefore, it is high in teak natural oils, which play the key role in the teak’s outstanding resistance to outdoor elements. As a result the teak wood is protected from unfavorable weather elements and repelling insects. However, it only makes up about a fifth to one quarter of the log. Which results in its high price.

Stainless Steel

Stainless steel is a steel alloy with a minimum of 10.5% chromium content by mass.

Stainless steels are notable for their corrosion resistance, which increases with increasing chromium content. Additions of molybdenum increase corrosion resistance in reducing acids and against pitting attack in chloride solutions. Thus, there are numerous grades of stainless steel with varying chromium and molybdenum contents to suit the environment the alloy must endure. Stainless steel’s resistance to corrosion and staining, low maintenance, and familiar lustre make it an ideal material for many applications where both the strength of steel and corrosion resistance are required.

Stainless steels are rolled into sheets, plates, bars, wire, and tubing to be used in: cookware, cutlery, surgical instruments, major appliances; construction material in large buildings, such as the Chrysler Building. Stainless steel’s corrosion resistance, the ease with which it can be steam cleaned and sterilized, and no need for other surface coatings has also influenced its use in commercial kitchens and food processing plants.

 Quick-Dry Foam Cushion

Quick-dry foams are suited for outdoor use where moisture and precipitation like rain is prevalent. In detail, the large open cells provide a degree of airflow not present in other foams. Which allows it to dry quickly, even after complete saturation. Also, the dry-fast foam formula is anti-microbial and helps suppress microorganism growth, common in damp areas. Because of the anti-microbial formula and air circulation, dry-fast foam is the perfect material to be used in outdoor furniture.

Sunbrella Fabric

Our cushions are made of Sunbrella fabric, a very durable material. With its high water, UV-, mold and mildew resistance, it is ideal for outdoor use. Sunbrella is made of 100% solution dyed acrylic fabrics, colored all the way through the core of the yarn. The color is exceptionally resistant to fading, when exposed to sun or inclement weather. The fabrics are also treated to be highly stain- and water repellant. They dry quickly, which prevents moisture, mold and mildew from building up.
