MAARCORA COALFERN Hanging Lounge Chair – 2 Seater

COALFERN is designed for two people and has a recommended maximum load of 220 kg (485 lb). Its large hanging form creates a comfortable place to sit while also adding a strong design feature to the space.

The chair is suitable for homes, hotels, restaurants, contract projects, terraces, gardens, and other indoor or outdoor areas. It can be used throughout the year, so there is no need to move it indoors for normal seasonal changes.

Each piece is handcrafted in Latvia, EU. Because the basalt fibre structure is formed individually, small differences in the pattern, texture, and finish are natural. These variations are part of the character of the chair.

Material & Surface Finish

The outer shell is made from continuous volcanic basalt fibre combined with a high-performance resin system. This creates a strong composite structure while keeping the free-form look of the design. A polyurethane coating and 2K protective topcoat are applied to the surface. This finish is made for regular indoor and outdoor use and helps the chair stand up to moisture and changing weather.

Outdoor Use

COALFERN is made for year-round indoor and outdoor use. The material and protective finish are designed for exposure to:

Colour & Upholstery

Charcoal Black is the standard finish. RAL and NCS colours are available on request for projects that need a different colour. Bespoke finish requirements can also be considered for residential, hospitality, and contract work.

The chair includes a tailored outdoor cushion. Outdoor-grade fabrics are available in a selected range of colours, and alternative premium fabrics or COM (Customer’s Own Material) may be considered, subject to technical suitability.

Suspension & Installation

COALFERN can be suspended in two ways:

MAARCORA MONO Stand – The chair can be used with the MAARCORA MONO Stand.

Suitable Structural Support – It can also be hung from a suitable load-bearing support.

A professional-grade static rope is used for suspension, with other rope options available on request. The support structure, suspension point, and installation method must be suitable for the product load. These should be checked properly before installation.

Care & Maintenance

For routine cleaning, use soapy water and a soft, lint-free cloth. A mild, non-abrasive cleaner can also be used when needed.

Avoid abrasive cleaners, harsh chemicals, and solvents. Lint-shedding cloths should also be avoided because fibres may catch on the textured surface.

Cushion care depends on the selected upholstery. Refer to the relevant fabric specification for detailed cleaning and maintenance instructions.

Every MAARCORA COALFERN is made by hand in Latvia. The free-form basalt fibre shell is created individually, so no two pieces will have exactly the same pattern, texture, or finish. This gives each chair a distinct character while keeping the overall design consistent.
