MAARCORA DAYFERN Hanging Lounge Chair – 1 Seater

DAYFERN has a rounded hanging form that creates a private and comfortable place to sit. The open structure lets light pass through the shell, giving the chair a clear visual character without making it look heavy. The chair is designed for one person and has a maximum recommended load of 150 kg (330.7 lb). It can be used in indoor spaces as well as outdoor areas throughout the year.

DAYFERN works well in homes, hotel lounges, restaurants, terraces, gardens, poolside areas, and other hospitality or contract settings. Its hanging design also makes it useful when you want seating that takes up less visual space than a large fixed chair. Each chair is handcrafted in Latvia. Because the basalt fibre shell is formed by hand, small changes in the pattern, texture, and finish are natural. No two pieces will look exactly the same.

Basalt Fibre Composite Construction

The shell is made from continuous volcanic basalt fibre combined with resin. This forms the main composite structure and gives the chair its free-form appearance. The surface is finished with a polyurethane coating and a 2K protective topcoat. This finish is intended for demanding indoor and outdoor use.

DAYFERN is made for year-round indoor and outdoor use. The material and finish are designed to handle:

Colour & Upholstery Choices

The standard finish is Charcoal Black. For projects that need a different colour, RAL and NCS colours are available on request. Bespoke finish requirements can also be considered for residential, hospitality, and contract projects.

The chair comes with a tailored outdoor cushion made for the design. Outdoor-grade fabrics and colours are available, while alternative premium outdoor fabrics and COM (Customer’s Own Material) may also be considered, subject to technical suitability.

Suspension & Installation

DAYFERN can be installed with a MAARCORA MONO Stand or suspended from the ceiling or another suitable structural support. A professional-grade static rope is used for suspension. Alternative rope options may also be available on request. The ceiling, support structure, suspension point, and installation method must be suitable for the specified load. These should be checked before installation.

Simple Care

For normal cleaning, use soapy water and a soft, lint-free cloth. A mild, non-abrasive cleaner can be used when needed.

Avoid abrasive products, harsh chemicals, and solvents. It is also better to avoid cloths that shed fibres, as they may catch on the textured surface.

Cushion care will depend on the selected fabric. Detailed instructions should be followed according to the relevant upholstery specification.
